medium waistcoats, Mens, Roomi Apparel, waistcoat, womensA V-neck waistcoat, lined, with a button front and front pockets. This waistcoat is unique, made from offcuts of fabric from another project. This is a medium, and there are no other sizes available. It is in tweed, a durable and warm wool, woven with a rough, flecked texture, that resists creasing and improves with wear.Kamali has been our tailor for years, working out of his workshop in Bow. Every project leaves offcuts, and rather than throw them away, he kept them. Ten years' worth, as it turned out. One day he turned them all into waistcoats: about a hundred of them, in whatever fabric happened to be left over. Some good tweeds, some odd prints from old dress fabric. Each one exists once. When it's gone, that fabric is gone with it.Wool is a natural insulator, warm without being heavy, and naturally resists odour and creasing better than most fabrics. It's more delicate than cotton or linen, so it needs gentler handling.
