A hooded raincoat, cut oversized with a raglan sleeve. Fully lined, with an inside pocket. Made in oilskin waxed cotton, a durable, water-resistant cotton canvas treated in the oilskin tradition, that ages and softens with wear.
Redwan wanted a London essential: one coat that could handle the walk to the tube, the wait at the bus stop, the wind coming off the canal. Oversized on purpose, so there’s room for a jumper underneath on the cold days and nothing at all on the mild ones. Built to be the last raincoat anyone needs to buy.
Cotton is a durable, natural fibre that holds up well to everyday wear. This one is treated with wax, a tradition going back to oilskin coats worn by sailors and fishermen before synthetic waterproofing existed. The wax coating sheds rain and develops its own character over time, wearing in unevenly at the folds and creases in a way that’s part of the fabric.

Care Info
Do not machine wash or dry clean, this strips the wax coating. Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Re-wax as the fabric starts to feel dry or the water resistance fades, using a proprietary waxed cotton dressing rather than raw beeswax, which can leave the fabric stiff.

A V-neck waistcoat, lined, with a button front and front pockets. This waistcoat is unique, made from offcuts of fabric from another project. This is a small, and there are no other sizes available. It is in wool, a warm, natural fibre that insulates well and resists creasing.Kamali has been our tailor for years, working out of his workshop in Bow. Every project leaves offcuts, and rather than throw them away, he kept them. Ten years' worth, as it turned out. One day he turned them all into waistcoats: about a hundred of them, in whatever fabric happened to be left over. Some good tweeds, some odd prints from old dress fabric. Each one exists once. When it's gone, that fabric is gone with it.Wool is a natural insulator, warm without being heavy, and naturally resists odour and creasing better than most fabrics.
