I actually discovered these slippers through my dear friend Louisa, who I do a podcast Pause, Reflect, Connect with. Week after week I’d sit opposite her, quietly admiring her warm, cosy feet while mine were freezing. Louisa has impeccable taste and this was yet another example of it. Her slippers always looked soft, natural and properly warm, without that stiff synthetic look so many slippers have.
I eventually asked her about them and when she told me they were made in Scotland, that was it. Beautiful materials, proper provenance, thoughtful craft and a style that doesn’t make you feel like you’ve given up on life. And for the quality, the price felt honest too.
That’s really why we brought them into Mahala. They’re exactly the kind of thing we love, natural, well made, quietly comforting and rooted in a place that feels close to home.
