Hansom Overcoat | Mustard Jumbo Donegal Tweed

A full-length overcoat with a high collar and raglan sleeve. Generous sleeve length, fully lined, with an inside pocket. Made in Donegal tweed, a durable and warm wool, woven with characteristic flecks of colour in a style native to County Donegal, that resists creasing and improves with wear.

Redwan wanted a coat that would outlast every trend it lived through. Full length, high collar, cut oversized enough to layer under without ever feeling tight. The kind of coat you buy once and wear for the rest of your life in London.

Wool is a natural insulator, warm without being heavy, and naturally resists odour and creasing better than most fabrics. It’s more delicate than cotton or linen, so it needs gentler handling. Donegal tweed is a style of tweed originating in County Donegal, Ireland, traditionally hand-woven and recognisable by the flecks of colour spun into the yarn, giving it more visual texture than a standard tweed.

Dry clean, or hand wash cold. Do not tumble dry. Store folded rather than on a hanger to keep its shape.

We make everything by hand in our East London workshop. If you’d like to see or feel a fabric before you order, ask us for a sample. We keep offcuts from every roll we use.
