Hansom Overcoat | Classic Brown Tweed

A full-length overcoat with a high collar and raglan sleeve. Generous sleeve length, fully lined, with an inside pocket. Made in tweed, a durable and warm wool, woven with a rough, flecked texture, that resists creasing and improves with wear.

Redwan wanted a coat that would outlast every trend it lived through. Full length, high collar, cut oversized enough to layer under without ever feeling tight. The kind of coat you buy once and wear for the rest of your life in London.

This fabric was quite a find! It is likely a Burberry end-of-line, but Redwan could not say that for sure. Wool is a natural insulator, warm without being heavy, and naturally resists odour and creasing better than most fabrics. It’s more delicate than cotton or linen, so it needs gentler handling. Tweed is a rough-textured woolen fabric, often with flecks of colour spun into the yarn before weaving, giving it a mottled, hand-made look.

Dry clean, or hand wash cold. Do not tumble dry. Store folded rather than on a hanger to keep its shape.
