Could be used as a beautiful piece of textiles for any project involving authentic handmade textiles. Fabrics made by hand have a living soul that you can feel when looking closely. Machine made textiles can never be compared as they lack the character and livelihood old handmade textiles have. Every part of the process has been done by hand with love and care being put in to it at each step. Shearing the sheep done by hand with traditional scissors. Spinning of the wool to turn in to yarn again by hand. Dying of the yarn again by hand using different plants to achieve the desired colours. Finally the yarns woven together by hand to create this beautiful unique piece that had its purpose at the time. This Rug/Throw was made to serve the purpose of keeping the heat in above a traditional Turkish clay underground oven and the family would sit and enjoy the warmth in the -0 temperature winter climates of Eastern Turkey. In the form of a shelter we would use in the UK to keep the rain out but instead used to keep the warmth in.   Made from handspun naturaly dyed wool Dimensions:tbc
